Selecting the Correct Date Code: The date code stamped on the coil is easy to decode. The first two digits indicate the week of manufacture, and the last digit indicates the year. For example, a date code of 078 indicates the coil was manufactured during the 7th week of 1968. As a general guideline, subtract 1 to 4 weeks from your vehicle's build date to estimate the closest matching date code. Non-Standard Date Code coils cover the specific weeks not included in our Standard Date Code offerings.
